God tells us that we shall return unto Him 10% of what He has given unto us through our work and other resources. According to Numbers 18:26 “…ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.” To assist us in being obedient to God’s will for His people, we have made it easier for you to pay your tithes here, safely and securely through PayPal.

According to our covenant, First Missionary Baptist Church, will engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

 As we cooperate and worship together GOD will HONOR and BLESS our resources in order that we might reach a hurting a hurting world for Christ’s sake.

 First Missionary Baptist Church Mission statement about tithes says that “We are A TITHING CHURH because we believe Malachi 3:8-10”

“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

“Our First Fruits Belong to God"

The Lord says for us to "Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine" (Proverbs 3:9-10)

2 Chronicles 31:5 ESV “As soon as the command was spread abroad, the people of Israel gave in abundance the firstfruits of grain, wine, oil, honey, and of all the produce of the field. And they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything.”

We must learn to do what is desired of God. Yes sometime’s it may be hard, but we must also remember that those things that are so easy to do, are most times not the best thing to do. In His Word, God reminds us through Samuel that “obedience is better than sacrifice”. In the NLV verse “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”

In being obedient to God's will and His word, we must bring the very best of what we have to God. We must bring our First Fruits of the year. As a member of First Missionary Baptist, we have made a covenant with First, that we would be obedient to God and the Shepherd that He has placed to lead us.

In saying this, we wanted to make it easy for our members to fulfill this. You are able to pay your First Fruits for the year here. Whatever amount you’re giving is, make sure to pray and be obedient to God. There is no amount that is too little or too great to honor God. All that is done through our site, please know that it is secure. And we thank each one of you for your giving.

No matter what the enemy throws at you, remember you are a foreigner here and your citizenship is in heaven. Whenever an American traveling abroad gets into trouble, he has a right to the services of the American Embassy and the right to invoke his citizenship. With that come courtesies that the foreign government must adhere to. Since we're citizens of heaven, we have the right to take refuge in the embassy of heaven, the church, and say, LORD HAVE MERCY. That's why I can declare today that I'm not going to participate in this world's recession. I declare to you that I am opting out. Because of the revelation of God's Word to us, we are placed in a position to be immune to economic conditions. All we have to do is "trust in God," "believe in God," "have faith" in God.

Connecting with First is a partnership with YOU and First Missionary Baptist. A connection based on desire to help, build, and move the body of Christ forward. When you partner with First, your connection is not just Bishop McCall and First Missionary Baptist, but it is your connection with other like-minded Christians who desire to have the Message of God spread throughout our communities, our towns, our nation, and most importantly throughout the world! For Christ said “… Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Luke 14:22-24 (KJV).

God compels us to not only preach, teach, baptize that others may be saved; He also commands us to help the “widowed and orphans”… James 1:27 (NIV) “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…”. In your partnership with First, you become part of the ministry that works to help those who have lost hope, who have lost faith, and needs the help of their brethren to rise from the pitfalls that they have fallen into.

You are not just a donor blessing the ministry of First Missionary, but you are blessing to the ministry of God. You are laborers in a harvest that is plentiful. You are helping to ensure that this ministry of god moves forward in their outreach works in promoting the Word of God, and spreading the love of God in action throughout the world. You are more than partners, you are a connecting member of First Missionary Baptist Church.

Luke 10:33-35: But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion, and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him. "On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay you.'

"What is benevolence? What is a benevolence fund?"
Answer: Benevolence is the desire to help someone or a feeling of goodwill toward others. Benevolence can also refer to an act of kindness or charity. Today, many churches maintain a “benevolence fund,” that is, a monetary reserve kept in order to help those in need. Often, a benevolence fund is used to aid families with unexpected or high medical expenses, victims of natural disasters, the unemployed, the underemployed, and others in similar circumstances.

The call to provide for the needy is found throughout the Bible. In Matthew 25:34–40, Jesus emphasizes the need for benevolence in God’s name. John asks, “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?” (1 John 3:17–18). “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7), and maintaining a benevolence fund is one way to help those who come to the church for aid during difficult times.

At First Missionary, we are a Bible based, Christ following ministry, who knows that a part of ministry is to be a source of comfort and aid to our community. When a person or family have a financial need, we know that as children of God, we have to be there for one another, spiritually, emotionally, and even financially. There are times when a family may have a family emergency that they are unprepared for. This is the reason for our benevolence fund, to be able to provide financial, as well as spiritual assistants to those in need. Whatever God places on your heart, please make a donation to our benevolence fund.
